All-Inclusive or Venue Only: What’s the Difference?

Wedding guests gathered for cocktail hour under the open-air hay barn at Younger Ranch, with string lights and a split-rail fence

Some wedding venues bundle the setting, catering, drinks, coordination and other services into a package. That convenience can be wonderful, especially when you love what’s included.

At Younger Ranch, we do things a little differently.

We offer Venue Only: one published price for 12 hours of private use of the ranch, for weddings of up to 150 guests.

Instead of choosing a preassembled wedding package, you have more freedom to shape your celebration around the people, experiences and details that matter most to you.

We used to offer all-inclusive packages ourselves. Over time, we chose to focus on what we know best: providing a beautiful, authentic place for couples to begin their marriage, while giving them more flexibility in planning their day.

Which option is better? That depends on what matters most to you, the services included, and your total wedding budget. Neither approach is automatically less expensive.

The important thing is understanding exactly what you’re getting.

Your Vendor Team

We believe in giving you freedom and flexibility in your planning. A few vendors come from our trusted list so your day runs smoothly. Everything else is your choice.

  • Coordinator (required): hire one from our list of professionals. They guide you through planning, run your wedding day and must be on site for your entire block of time.
  • Caterer (required): choose from our list of caterers. Food and beverage aren’t included in the venue price.
  • Bar (required): all alcohol comes through Peak Beverage and is served by a TIPS-trained bartender from Peak. Peak covers the liquor liability.
  • Rentals (required vendors): tables and chairs are included; additional rentals such as linens, glassware and china are handled by your caterer and ordered through our required vendors, Event Rents or Colorado Party Rentals. Have another rental in mind? Just ask.
  • Event insurance: required
  • Everyone else is up to you: florists, DJs, photographers, and the rest.

No service charge on the site fee. Your venue price is the price. An $800 refundable damage deposit is also required. It’s separate from the venue rental price.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do smaller weddings cost less?

Usually, yes. Fewer guests means you spend less on the costs that grow with your guest count, like food, the bar and rentals. The venue price stays the same: $8,500 Saturday, $8,000 Friday, $7,500 Sunday and $6,000 Monday–Thursday. Whether you invite 30 people or 150, the whole ranch is yours for 12 hours, and smaller weddings are just as welcome. One thing to keep in mind is that some caterers and other vendors have minimums, so ask about those when you’re getting quotes.

Is there a damage deposit, and is it refundable?

Yes. In addition to the venue fee, we require an $800 damage deposit, due 30 days before your event. It’s 100% refundable if no damage beyond normal wear and tear occurs. It’s separate from the venue price, and there are no additional service fees or per-person fees.

Do you require a wedding planner?

Yes. You’ll hire a coordinator from our list of professionals. They’ll guide you through planning and run your special day.

Do you have a plan for bad weather?

Yes. We have “Plan B” and “Plan C” options that can be put into action as early as the day of the wedding.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

All liquor comes through Peak Beverage and is served by a TIPS-trained bartender from Peak.

Can our dog be part of the wedding?

Yes, if you agree to keep your dog on a leash, clean up after them, and supervise them for the whole event.
